In memory of
Darlene & Joe Floriano
September 11, 2017
Joe,
Thank you for being a part of our lives. You were a great son, father, step father, grandfather (Pappa), great grandfather and pal.
You were a generous and kind neighbor and friend to many.
Unselfishly serving our country as a Marine and the community as as Firefighter and Fire Chief.
I always loved to hear about your stories growing up in Albuquerque, a place that I have come to love.
Your love for the classic automobile will be something forever engrained in our minds. The beautiful creations from such a talented man.
Your time here was inspiring. You loved unselfishly your family and never asked for anything in return.
Thank you for your love.

Many condolences to Susan and Catherine for the loss of their father. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe through Susan and found him a most verbose and vibrant personality. So sorry for your loss...

Joe was my uncle, I remember going up in Albuquerque hanging out at my Grade father Ortiz house in Old Town.
When my uncle Joe would come to town him and my Dad Charlie Ortiz would talk for hours.
My uncle Joe would make me feel special. When I got older and when uncle Joe was in town him and I would talk for hours.
The last time I saw my uncle I took my two kids to meet him Robert Ortiz and Corina Ortiz.
I will remember my uncle, was the kind of person that could bring light in to a room and being the most interesting man I ever meet.
RIP

Dear Verda and family:
Sorry to hear about Joe's passing. I will never forget when he took our son Scott to ride with him in the Merced Parade and let him wear his fire chief hat. A nice man with a big heart and a love of children

Little could Joe know the breadth of his influence on the "kids" he inspired. Of my many influences he would rank up near the top. He will be missed and his legacy will endure through those he touched even indirectly. A true old soul.
