Dear Rita and family,
I am so sad to hear about the loss of Joe. He was a very special person who will never be forgotten. Through the years he always made me laugh and look at the humorous and sunny side of life. I have so many wonderful memories from when we were kids on the farm until the last time I saw him in 2005. He was truly one of a kind. I am so lucky to have had him as a cousin. Your whole family is great and I love you all. I am always thrilled to see or hear from you. Our family is strong. Joe will live on in our hearts. Take care,
Love,
cousin Margaret Pacitti Recchio

Rita and Family
We are sadened to hear about your loss, but in times like these it is good to know that Joe was loved and respected by so many people. It was always so comfortable to come into the Shannon Hotel back in the days and see Joe behind the bar with that big smile on his face. He will be missed by everyone but our memories will last forever.

Dearest Rita, Tony, Gina, Nicky, Maria, and Joey,

You have our deepest sympathy. I could not even count the great memories I have of Joe, But a few do stick out, for example my dad sending me over with gyros and Joe always giving me a few quarters to play pinball when I was little. You are a wonderful and very close family and you will hopefully find strength to get through this tough time.Joe was a sweet man, who never spoke bad about anyone.

All of our best,

To Uncle Joe – a very special uncle and unique person, who was probably the reason for the song “My Way.” You slowed down and left us, but remain in our hearts forever. THANK YOU for your keen wit, relentless sense of humor, inspiration, generous nature, and “can-do” attitude. I am grateful that we got to share time together on this earth, and how lucky for me to have you as an uncle and godfather. I just returned from Cerasuolo, and took a photo for you of the house where you were born, never thinking I wouldn’t see you again. But…..you can be very proud of the incredible legacy that you created and are leaving with your amazing family, such wonderful children and grandchildren.
You are loved and missed.
From your niece,
Donna (eldest daughter of Domenic Pacitti)

Dear Rita & Family, I want to express my deepest sympathy to all of you. To me personally, Joe was so much more than the owner and bar tender of the 'Shannon Hotel'. His friendship and camaraderie was second to none when going through tough times, or celebrating good times.
I can still picture him
singing 'Down by the boardwalk',with that cigar hangin out of his mouth, and all of the good stories and laughs that he provided. But most important, was the family man that I knew him as.
He was 'FIRST CLASS'.
GOD BLESS HIM! He's in a better place entertaining now.
Sincerely, Gary Colosimo
