Donna & Ricky,
I am very sorry to hear about Uncle Rich. I love to think about our times together as children. I've always thought he was one of the funniest people ever, along with your mom. I'm so greatful to have such good memories. Love, Joyce

Dear Donna and "Little Ricky"
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. There are many great memories I have of Rich; he was always a favorite friend. His wit and humor are unmatchable; I don't think I've ever laughed as I did with Rich; he and deceased wife, Betty, were memorable friends of mine for many years; our children grew up together, and this was a part of my life which is and always will remain with me as a constant source of love and pleasure. May God be with all of you who loved him, and may he have eternal rest and comfort.

Donna nad Rick you have our deepest sympathy. I will never forget some of our camping and farm trips with Rich, your mother and you all growing up. I also will always remember Rich's zest for life and our rafting trip down the New River you guys took him on for his 50th birthday! HE was a great guy in a better place now hopefully with a cold one in his hand!

I loved my Uncle Rich (Joe) so much. Since I was a kid, I thought he was so funny and kind--he was my favorite! As I got older, our family and my Uncle Rich's family did not get together as much, but anytime I did talk with him, he was still funny, caring, and a great guy. The last time I was with him was out fishing on Deep Creek Lake--that was fun! I cannot believe that he is gone, I was taken by surprise. Every single memory I have of him is a great one. He and his family are in my heart.

There really are no words that can describe how I felt about Joe. He was my former boss, but it went beyond that. He was someone that I respected, like a father figure. I enjoyed being around him because he loved life and enjoyed every minute. To say he will be missed is an understatement. I know how much his family and friends loved him. You never want a loved one to suffer and I know he did just that, but he also was a fighter and I know he fought hard. But in the end, God took him from us , but he also ended his pain. I know in my heart he is in Heaven looking down at us with a big cigar in his mouth and smiling. He is happy, he is pain free and we all can now say that we know an angel. Joe, I love you and I pray that you're in peace.
