Joseph Pedevillano Obituary
Joseph P. Pedevillano, age 93, entered into eternal rest on November 7, 2018, at Arden House in Hamden. He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen Dinan Pedevillano. Mr. Pedevillano was born in Ansonia on June 27, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Nicolina Gugliuzzi Pedevillano. He resided in Ansonia before moving to Seymour forty-seven years ago. He was employed at P. Francini Construction and later at Sikorsky Aircraft until his retirement. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Navy during WW 2. Joe loved attending his grandchildren's activities and games and in his earlier years enjoyed dancing, bowling and playing softball. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving sons, Joseph P. Pedevillano Jr. (Melodie) of Nebraska and Michael L. Pedevillano of Wallingford, loving daughters, Michele Downs (Joseph) and Lisa M. Raymond (Paul) of Seymour and Melissa Miller (Stephen) of Virginia, brothers, John Pedevillano and Frank Pedevillano of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Joseph Downs Jr., Nicole & Alyssa Downs, Jamie, Morgan & Jack Raymond and Alexis Pedevillano and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Samuel and Anthony Pedevillano and sisters, Josephine Valenti and Carolyn Lotto. Visiting hours will be held on Monday November 12, 2018, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, his funeral will begin at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment with U.S. Navy funeral honors will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. The family sends a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Arden House Solana Floor 4AB for their wonderful care. Very sorry for your loss. The Pedivillanos are all dear in my heart. Both your mom and dad filled my life with fun memories with our family.
