Joey was my first cousin and I was shocked and saddened when I learned of his passing. My wife and I were away and found out last evening, New Years Eve of his passing. I have fond memories when we were young when Joey lived on Bangs Ave with his mom, sister Ida, brothers Nicky and Frankie, and grandmother, and I lived in Sewell Ave . I was always there. Joey was a great cousin and role model. I remember when he enlisted in the US Navy. We were all so proud of him. God rest his soul. Love, cousin Bobby Villapiano

I was so saddened to just learn of the passing of my cousin, Joey Priolo, and so sorry I couldn't be a part of his funeral and final farewell. I know first hand how he was enormously respected by his employers and customers at some of the upscale restaurants in which Joey tended bar. He was indeed a professional, a perfectionist in his craft, and a great listener. I recall his visits to me on Sunset Avenue with his young son Joseph and the pride, joy and love he showed for the young boy. Sending my deepest condolences to Joey's family, Charlene and son Joseph. Rest in peace, Joey. We will all meet again. Love, Madeline

The last time I saw Uncle Joe he was telling me, in a bit of a wistful voice, how things change. Neither of us were big huggers. I insisted on hugging him twice that day. I am very glad that I did.
Spending time with him & Frankie was at turns hilarious & touching. They were brothers of the heart.
