It was an honor to have Mr. Provenza in Live Oak. As nursing director let me say our staff enjoyed caring for him. May God richly bless your family during this time.

May the cherished memories of happier times help to ease the sorrow that you are feeling today. It is my wish for you and your family that in time those loving memories will bring you peace again. May all the love and friendship that surrounds you today help in some way to comfort your heart. Mr. Joe was a wonderful person. I feel it was a real priviledge to know him.

Bernadine,

It truly saddens me to have read of your father's passing. I felt as though I knew him much more than I actually did. Perhaps it was because I listened intently when you spoke of him, as you often did with love and great admiration for his influence in your life. Then perhaps it was the warmth with which he greeted me for the first time during the family's Christmas get together at your home a few years ago. I can also recall a very interesting and inspirational newspaper interview about his gardening activities, a copy of which I still have. Through you, a friend dear to me, I became quite fond of "Pappa Joe." I pray that the memories and legacy that he leaves behind will continue to have a positive, guiding influence in your life.
