Joe and I along with 26 others starting in '45 and'46 served together in France and Germany way back when! 18 of us got together in 1998 in Texas. An interesting part is that everyone of us had been married 50 years or more. Joe was an excellent leader and was well liked by all of us.
I have kept in touch over the years as have others and he will be missed by everyone of us. And someday we will all get together when we are all called together for the final "Muster"! I would like to extend to all of his family our condolences!

What a legacy Joe leaves - - and one day we will again be able to talk about specifics and special times and moments!
Just reflecting on those days at FMBC in Washington and what grand memories there are. Then, too, was the visit with you folks when I was flying through Japan back in the mid-60's - - a unique place to be able to touch base again. I always appreciated getting updates on your whereabouts and wish our paths had crossed more frequently. My heart reaches out to you Joan as you adjust to this new chapter in your life. I pray you will feel God's presence in an undeniable manner as He stands by you to underscore the hope we have in Christ Jesus our LORD.

It is with sorrow that I learned that Joe had passed away. I know he will be missed by many; he was a great human being and one whose faith has never waivered. I can recall seeing him on several occasions at the Cancer Center when I was there with my wife, Sarah-Patsy, and he seemed always upbeat and faithful. I do hope that the memories of Joe and his faithfulness to the Church and God will sustain the family throughout the days, months and years to come. He will be missed.
