JOSEPH V. RAUPP

A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for Joseph Victor Raupp, 87, of Whitewater, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Whitewater, WI. Joe passed away at home, surrounded by family on March 27, following a short illness. Joe was born Joseph Victor Raupp, April 6, 1927, second oldest of five children, to Jake and Olga Raupp in Long Grove, IL. He married Theresa Catherine Bugner in Buffalo Grove, IL on May 4, 1949. Joe and Theresa raised their 13 children on dairy farms in northern IL, and Whitewater, WI. Joe was a proud, lifelong dairy farmer, having retired from active farming in 1998. Joe was devoted to his faith. His passions included, cheering for the Cubs, playing cards, Word Finds, birdwatching, and woodworking. Joe is survived by his children, Joe H., Sister Genevieve, Terry (Denny) Taylor, Mike (Robin), Ray (Donna), Judy (Tim) Baxter, Rose (Dale) Book, Gregg, Florie (Ted) Mielke, Jerry (Mary), Larry (Natalie), Joanne (Chris) Boggs, Frank, fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his brother Jim, and sister Lilian. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa, his parents and two brothers. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, April 1, at St. Patrick Church, Whitewater. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Whitewater. Friends may call from 5 - 8 pm on March 31 at Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, and from 10 am until Mass on Wednesday.
