Joseph R. Reiter, 92, husband of the late E. Irene (Gennaria) Reiter, Greenfield Senior Living Of Perkiomen Valley, Schwenksville, PA, died Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Pottstown Hospital, Pottstown, PA.

Joe was born on April 26, 1932, in Lower Frederick Twp., Montgomery Co., PA, where he lived almost his entire life. He was the son of the late Emanuel R. and Emma (Rose) Reiter.

Before retiring in 1995, Joe was a production supervisor for 46 years with the Collegeville Flag & Mfg. Co., Collegeville, PA.

Joe was a member of Saint Luke's Lutheran Church, Obelisk, PA. He served as a corporal with Battery C, 17th Field Artillery Battalion, US Army, in the Korean War.

Joe was a real home body. In his younger years he spent many a weekend at the Hatfield or Sanatoga stock car raceways. Later he enjoyed the Reading and Grandview raceways. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan enjoying all the different teams. Joe was a regular at Perkiomen Valley HS football and basketball games in the 70's always letting the refs know when they made a bad call.

Joe is survived by his son, Douglas J., husband of Kathy (Grater) Reiter, Lower Frederick Twp.,; his grandsons, Kristian, husband of Leah (Kurpiel) Reiter, Matthew, husband of Karen (Ritter) Reiter, Kyle, husband Ashley (Rhoads) Reiter, and Travis, husband of Pier (Salamone) Reiter; and his great-grandchildren, Ella, Jonah, and Violet Reiter, Asher and Juliet Reiter; Bennett, Harrison, and Evelyn Reiter; and Penelope, Paisley, and Orion Reiter. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Reiter (1926-1939).

Joe's graveside service will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday, November 29th, in Limerick Garden Of Memories, 44 E. Arcadia Dr., Limerick, PA 19468, with the Rev. Amy Smith, Pastor, Saint Luke's Lutheran Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe, PA.
