Joseph A. "Joe" Robinson

I had the great good fortune to have played in a band with Joe back in the mid-1980's which consisted of Joe on lead guitar, Brett Drohen on drums and myself on bass guitar. We three made a mighty noise we did, and were definitely a force to be reckoned with. I'll always remember Joe with great fondness for his delightfully twisted sense of humor (so very much like my own) and for his infinite capacity to find the good in even the most miserable situation. (Such an optimist!) He'd turned me on to all sorts of different music that until that time I had not been aware of, and for that I will forever be in his debt. And plus, he was one hell of a guitarist! Those were some of the best times of my life. I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing. He was a friend of mine and he will be missed.
