Joseph L. Joe Rose, of Holbrook, passed away December 29, 2015 at the age of 84. He was the son of the late William and Ella (Featherston) Rose. Born in Waterford, Conn., he lived in Holbrook for over 50 years. He was employee of Walworth Co. of Braintree and Randolph Manufacturing. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. For the past 5 years he has been a resident of the Guardian Center, Brockton where he served as Vice President of the Association. Former husband of Maureen (Denniston) Rose. Loving father of Michele Rose Ford and her husband Jeff of Brockton and Gregory Rose and his wife Marcia of Braintree. Brother of the late Bernard and William Rose. Dear grandfather of Alison, Andrew and Michael Rose, Sarah Rose Ford and Daniel Joseph Ford. Also survived by his longtime friend and companion Betty Olson of Holbrook. Visiting hours on Wednesday, Jan. 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 68 So. Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook, MA 02343, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Burial will take place in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne at a time to be announced. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA.
