Joseph Rouleau Obituary
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Joe on August 29, 2017 at the age of 30. Beloved husband and best friend to Megan and proud father to Joseph. Loving son to Lillian and Doug and the late Serge and son-in-law to Leah and Thomas Martin. Dear brother to Chantal, Melissa and Kimberly and brother-in-law to Shannon. Joe will be dearly missed by all his extended family and many close friends. He will also be remembered by his friends at the HSR and Carmen's Banquet Centre.
His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will take place at Carmen's Banquet Centre, 1520 Stonechurch Rd. E. on Tuesday, September 5th at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In Joe's memory, a trust fund will be established and information will be available at the funeral home.

Megan and Joseph, I am so very sorry for your profound loss. Joe was a special person and loved his family and friends with a ferocity that was truly admirable. His eyes lit up when he spoke of you and little Joseph. I know he couldn't wait to show Joseph the world and all his hobbies, and introduce him to his love of hunting. Joe was like my little brother who would pull my pigtails but jumped in to thump anyone else who tried to do the same. We argued every subject until we were blue in the face but only because I knew, if he could focus his determination he would go far. From his love for his union brothers and sisters and his love of City of Hamilton politics Joe was not long for driving a bus. Joe was going places. I will miss his hearty "What's goin' on?!" echoing in the halls and through my cell phone. He will be missed by all he inspired and motivated. I was and am proud to call Joe my friend. I met Joe many years ago through our friend chris. The 3 of us spent a lot of time together sharing a ton of laughs. I was new to Hamilton back then and didn't know a lot of people. I can proudly say Joe was one of my first good friends back then. Joe was the best. He would listen to my belly aching about my life's problems and offer ideas and advice. He would often come out for a rides on my bus sometimes just to talk or he would time it to take my bus to work to the old Olympia on Barton. Then wouldn't ya know it I was taking him to Carmen's on my upper Ottawa bus. Then there were times he would just come out and talk about the stories he had from working at the youth offenders lock up. He always had great stories that were always topped of with his unique twist on the whole thing. That was Joe. He always had a different way of seeing things. I valued that in him. Seemed like he was always working back in those days. Always looking for the next better opportunity to come along. He was always such a driven guy
As the years went on though we all were spending less time together. We were finding the loves of our lives. Joe found Megan. Sadly I've never really met Megan but I know she must be a special person if Joe picked her as the woman he would love.
As a result tho our lives took us in different but similar directions. We all started a family with our partners and we dedicated most of our time to them. That along with long days at HSR, which wouldn't ya know it, Joe joined chris and I and began his career there.
I truly miss those days with Joe and Chris. I deeply regret losing touch with Joe over the last few years. I wish we all stayed close like we were back in the beginning. That we all hung out more and watched our kids play together. It's a regret that I have and sadly now will never get the chance to rectify.
Joe the broke the mould when they make you. You were a great friend and one that I will never forget. RIP brother we will all miss you
To Megan and Joseph my heart is broken for you and I hope one day the tears will slow and the smiles will reign when you think of Joe. That is my wish for you

Joseph was the most outspoken person I ever met. He never offended unless he was clearly joking and always had a great big smile. His positive energy could be felt whenever he was around. A few days before Valentine's Day 2016 I got a knock at the door. There was Joe standing with something in his hand.. I joked, Joe did you bring me a valentine 's day card? He came over to my rocking chair and handed me something in a frame.. I looked at it over and over until I figured out what it was. It turned out to be an ultra sound picture. Joe was so proud and couldn't stop smiling like he was the only one who ever made a baby. What a beautiful baby he's made and what a wonderful father he was. You will be missed.
