Joseph Sargent Obituary
He resided at Saylorsburg, Pa, Owings Mills, MD and grew up in Narberth, Pa.
Joseph grew up with a strong sense of community and a passion for sports that would shape his life's work. Known to many as Joe, he dedicated his career to education and athletics, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.
Joe spent much of his professional life at Milford Mill Academy in Maryland, where he found great joy in teaching and coaching several sports teams. His leadership extended beyond the field as he took on the role of athletic director for the school. His commitment to student-athletes and school spirit was further recognized through his service as President of the Maryland State Athletic Directors Association (MSADA), where he worked to support and advance high school athletics across the state.
Joe cherished time spent outdoors and with family. He found enjoyment in fishing and golfing. A devoted fan of Philadelphia sports, he rarely missed a Phillies or Eagles game, cheering passionately for his hometown teams.
Joe was the youngest of five siblings and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. His presence brought warmth and humor to family gatherings, and his legacy will live on in the memories shared by those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe's name can be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
May his memory bring comfort to all who were touched by his life. A Memorial Service will be held on July 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 196 Woodbine Ave Narberth, Pa 19072

He will be greatly missed! We served together as educators at Milford Mill Academy. He served as Athletic Director during my tenure as Principal and did an outstanding job.
