I was saddened to hear of Joe's passing. A friend just informed me now. Joe was a light in this world, and, even though I didn't have the chance to know him well, I will miss him.

I continue to feel saddened by Joe’s sudden passing, but I am grateful that I had the opportunity to know him. I spent a lot of time with Joe this past year and came to love him. I feel a close bond with him; and wherever we went together, I felt more comfortable and happy, because he was there with me. His humor, compassion, intelligence, and thoughtfulness are just some of the qualities that I will remember. I am thankful for all the memories.

R.I.P my cousin....my best friend. Love and miss you, Kelly

It’s hard to believe it was so many years ago that Joey & I skipped class to go to an Ozzie Osbourne concert (and he tried to get me to ask the instructor for ticket money!) There were many crazy adventures with Joey that I think of with a sly smile and a chuckle. I won’t forget him, Ms. Maryann.

I am so sorry to hear about Joey. I will always remember the Wilson Point Football games, and ice skating at Patterson Park. We had so much fun, and I'll always think of Ghost Road and the 50's parties at my house!! Joey, you were always so much fun to be around, I'll always think of those good times!!

I am truly saddened by Joe's passing. Joe was a true friend; one with whom I could share everything -all my strengths and challenges. I know that Joe is at peace now, but I will miss his intelligence, sense of humor, and friendship. I love Joey, and I will miss him more than words can say.

I extend condolences to Joe's family. While I'm saddened by Joe's passing, I celebrate the thoughtful, giving, and compassionate person with whom I shared time, feelings and dreams. Joe was a friend and a beloved member of the Metro NAMI family.

Joe and I worked as a team for NAMI's Virtual Voices many times. As a matter of fact, Joe showed me how to act during my assignment. Sometimes he and I would laugh when and joke during our service. He was always dependable and on time. Joe will be missed whenever I have to do a conference without him.

I am so sorry for yet another loss to your family. Know that Joey is now in heaven with his dad (who was my best friend, and like a father to me as well). Joey was a free spirit that will be greatly missed.

We would like to express our deepest sympathy in the untimely loss of your son, Joe. We knew Joe through work at Bambergers and Baker's Garden and thoroughly enjoyed his humor and his style. We believe he had a true gift for comedy and was someone who always left an impression. We are honored to have been able to share some time with him and be among his company. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and we want you to know that he will sorely be missed.
