HAMPSTEAD, N.H. — Joseph A. Sears, of Hampstead, N.H., age 77, died after a long illness on Monday, June 30, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise (Costa) Sears.
Along with his wife Louise, Joe leaves his daughter Debra Bertrand and her husband Vincent of West Roxbury, his son David Sears and his wife Stephanie of Chester, N.H., and Elizabeth Jutras and her husband Paul of Hampstead, N.H.
His grandchildren, Carey Bertrand and her spouse Edward Zarrow of Boston, Daniel Bertrand of Boston, Julianna, Jonathan and Andrew Sears of Chester, N.H. and Ryan and Nathan Jutras of Hampstead, N.H. will miss their "Voo" dearly.
Joe had been eagerly awaiting the birth of his first great grandchild due in July. He also leaves his sister Mary Stemple of Virginia Beach, Va., and brother Ralph Sears of Bridgewater.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services and burial will be private. The family asks that donations be made in Joseph's memory to The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7295, www.jimmyfund.org.

Dear Louise- I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your husband was a wonderful man. I enjoyed seeing him when he came in to his doctors appts, as I was the secretary.
