My Mother, Annie Horvath, was also from Sokolovac, and likely knew your Dad. May he rest in peace.

Joe was an amazing man and although Brian just passed away I know he would want to share memories of your Dad.

Joe was Brian's boss at C & S Furniture for 18 years but also a good friend. Joe helped nurture Brian, the seventeen year old, into a responsible, dedicated employee which served him well in later years and he never forgot it. We both always felt welcome at their home in Richmond or later in Surrey and Joe was always there with offers to share a drink or two.

He will be remembered and missed. You were lucky to have such a wonderful and loving father.

There will be a celebration of Dad's life on Sunday, Sept 18th. Elgin Hall, 14250 Crescent Road in South Surrey. 2 - 4pm. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing memories of Dad. Thank you.

I will never forget our Christmas breakfasts with you. The 'soulse'...aka head cheese was your favourite and Mom was so happy that you loved to come just for that. I know you are dancing with Auntie Ev, Grandma, Auntie Judy, Mom and many more who I didn't know. Auntie Judy is probably playing her guitar and you are all singing Red River Valley and You are my Sunshine...and having a grand old time! I can see it now; you had so many who loved you. May that bring comfort to Joanne and Brad, Ryan, your grandchildren and all those who hold your memory dear. Until we all meet again. Love you.
