Joseph Skula

Joseph Skula, 91, of Plainfield, died on Friday, February 23, 2018.  The Funeral will be from the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave. Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 at 9:30am on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.  A Service will be offered at the funeral home at 10am.  The Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.  The Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the funeral home from 5-8pm.  

Joseph was born and raised in Taylor, Pa.  He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  After being honorably discharged he married his wife Mary and settled to Plainfield, NJ to raise their family.  Joseph worked for 30yrs. for ASARCO, Perth Amboy, as a Working Foreman, and upon retiring he drove the Senior Citizen Services Bus for Union County.  Joseph was an avid vegetable gardener.  In his free time he would read and loved doing crossword puzzles.  Joseph was a sports fan, of all sports, and of all teams.  Joseph was also a passionate fisherman, whether saltwater or freshwater, he enjoyed the peace of fishing.  

Joseph is survived by his wife of 65yrs. Mary; his two sons Roger (Jennifer) and John (Julie); his two daughters Carol Ann Martino (Pat) and Joanne Wylykanowitz (Michael); his six grandchildren Angela, Michael, Alexandra, Emily, Max, and Joshua; and his brother Walter Skula.
