Joseph "Joe", beloved husband of 61 years to Phyllis (nee Hey) Thiem. Devoted father of Mark (Sherry) Thiem, Lisa (Gary) Hess and Michael (Susan) Thiem. Loving grandfather of Emily, Nick, Adam and the late Joseph Thiem. Dear brother of Cathy (Edward) Collins. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the age of 82. Visitation on Wednesday (March 29) at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd. from 9am-10:30am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church (White Oak) at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Church, 3565 Hubble Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45247. Special condolences may be expressed at www.frederickfh.com

I worked for Joe at Merten Company for a little over a year. I realized after that year that I was attempting to get into a profession that I was not suited. Joe was my Sales Manager and a great Salesman and person. In that year I developed a great respect for Joe and the Sales Profession. Joe was always very kind and willing to help this fish out of water. Thank you Joe and Rest In Peace. God Bless you!
