I knew Joe from Temple, when I was a medical student, psychiatry resident and then faculty member. He was a caring and compassionate person, always willing to help. He helped kick-start my career -- together we wrote and published (in Neurology) the first ever case of a patient's death due to tardive dyskinesia (a drug-induced movement disorder). May his memory be a blessing and source of comfort to those who loved him.

Joseph and I worked at temple together for a number of years. He and I collaborated and running and developing the clinic for the treat diagnostic and treatment of vertigo. He was a consummate clinician and a wonderful collaborator. His patients who have Jim and his peers with Mira gym I think of him often Im so sorry and I love you my heartfelt condolences.

My lasting memory of Pino was when he kindly and bravely drove my parents, Vincent and Katherine (née Laviano) Anania and myself to Boston through a heavy snowstorm so that I could visit some colleges. May all your special memories comfort you now and all the days to come.

My life was enriched by coming to know and be a friend of first Betty, Pino's wife, and later Pino, for himself. I look forward to seeing them again in the resurrection as Jesus promised. It will be a wonderful reunion!

I loved Pino and especially Betty who unselfishly gave themselves to friends and family. I will surely miss them both

Our thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family on the loss of your father, Pino. We last talked with Pino when my grandmother (Minnie Laviano) was in the hospital at Stanford University in 1993 after having surgery. He was a HUGE comfort to my mother (Marie (Laviano) McManus) and I by talking with my grandmother's doctors. He was a GREAT man! Sandra & Marie McManus

My deepest condolences to Pinos family. I had lost contact information over the years but thought of him often. I went with my father ( his cousin) to pick Pino up from the ship when he came to the United States. The last time I talked to him was about 9 years ago after I took a trip to Pescopagano. God be with all of you. Tom Laviano
