JOSEPH TONKOVICH Obituary
Age 69, of Brookline, on Monday, November 5, 2012. Beloved husband of 43 years to Kathleen (Boyle); father of Joseph J., Jr. (Michelle), and Jeffrey F. Tonkovich; grandfather of Anthony, Austin, Matthew, Sarah, Emilee, Jonathan, and Abigail; son of the late Frank and Margaret (Kempinski) Tonkovich; brother of Patricia Heyob; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and family. Joe was a kind and loving person who helped anyone. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome at 2630 West Liberty Ave., Dormont, 412-531-4000, on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection, Friday 10 a.m. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society or Western PA Humane Society. Please add or view tributes at:

I was so sorry to learn of Joe's passing. He was the nicest, kindest man. You and Joe were the best neighbors to my parents. I know he is at peace now and you are in my prayers. God bless.

Kathy, Ed and I are so very sorry for your loss of Joe. He was a kind man with a gentle spirit. I will always remember the times the "gang" got together and especially bowling Sunday nights. Gods peace to you and your family

Dear Tonkovich Family,
I worked with Joe when I was in the finance department at "South Hills Health System." He was a very pleasant person and easy to talk to. I will always remember him.

My sympathy to all of the family. I worked with Joe many years ago at WCC, and was sad to hear of his passing. I'll always remember the hard work and laughs we had. Joe was a good guy and I'm glad I had a chance to know him.

I worked with Joe in the Finance Department at JRMC also. What a wonderful person he was. I will truly miss all those wonderful emails he used to send me and all those entertaining lunch time conversations. You have my deepest sympathy.
