Joseph Andrew Tweedy

I was privileged to have Joe in my first grade class at Montrose Elem. I have so many good memories from that time. We treasure our friendship with his whole family. May God forever wrap you in His loving arms, not only at this time of his passing, but forever, and give you peace.

My deepest sympathy to the Tweedy family. I do not know you but my maiden name was Tweedy. My dad was Russell Tweedy & they came from the Paris, IL & Sanford, IN areas. There were also Elmer, Clyde, Morris, Joe, Reese, Lou, Roseann.Tom & A.J. Tweedy. I have never seen the Tweedy name here since my parents died & I was wondering if there was any connection between us. I know this is a very difficult time for you & if you choose not to answer that is ok - I understand.

Joe was one of my patients and was very close to my heart. We watched him through this tough fight and were amazed by his heart and fight. So sorry to hear about Joe's passing. I didn't know Joe long - I recently joined Dometic in January 2016. He was so helpful to me as I started my Dometic career. He made sure I understood the issues at hand and was very supportive. I pray for God's loving embrace on all of his friends and family.

Served with Joe in Navy Supply Corps while in Athens, Georgia. Quiet but vibrant, Joe was a good officer and a good solid guy. Rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Joe, we were roommates at Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport RI for 16 weeks and then went on to Supply Corps School in Athens Georgia for 7 months. We went through a lot together in our early time in the Navy and I wish we had kept in touch better over the years. I will miss him.
