Joseph Raymond Upperman, 85, of Las Vegas, NV. went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 18, 2023. Born August 5, 1938, in Chambersburg, PA., he was the son of the late Herbert and Esther Ryder Upperman.

Joe graduated from Grove City High School in 1957 and pursued higher education at Slippery Rock State College. After college he moved to FL and worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 34 years. He was a devoted father to his two daughters. He competitively played many sports and won the Brevard County Superstar in 1976. He retired in the 90's and moved to Las Vegas where he enjoyed playing softball for the Las Vegas Senior Softball Association, playing in world senior softball tournaments, and watching sports any chance he had.

Joe was a Christian and followed Dr. Stanley and In Touch Ministries. He loved cats, staying physically fit, enjoying a good meal, giving advice to friends and family, and visiting with his daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in Florida and South Carolina, who all miss him greatly.

Joe is survived by his sisters Peggy Thompson, and Cathie Cordell, daughters Diana Williams, and Julie Poston, mother of his daughters, Connie Wellman, grandchildren, Tyler Williams and wife Alexis Williams, Ashley Williams, and Paul Poston, great grandchildren Lainey and Reagan Williams, and Mason Poston.
