I met Joe at St. Mary Medical Center as I am a chaplain. He would always call for the chaplain for Communion. Over the years we became friends. Not being able to drive was hard for him but he would walk up to the hospital which isn't an easy walk just to go to Mass. He told me of his history, his difficulties and how proud that he was living a good life. He would show me a picture of his 1st granddaughter Ava and how he loved her. He had a great sense of humor and was a "character" but a lovable character.
About a year or so ago, he showed up in my office to see me. He was happy to be living in Allentown with his sister. Joe had a beautiful faith and love for the Lord and I know he is with God and pain free. Rest in peace dear Joe! Madeline Marr, Staff Chaplain at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhrone, PA

Jay was a longtime dear friend. So many great memories and I will miss him so much. He was a great friend to me. He loved his granddaughter Ava so much and talked always of when is next visit was to see his sons Jason and Shane, AMber and Ava..They all were the light of his life. I was so proud of the change he made with his life the past few years. He really was Proud too. His humour will go unforgotten!:) Always making me roar! Prayers thoughts and hugs to the Verna family and know how much he loved you so!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Blair
