EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Joseph Verrengia, 94, of East Rochester, N.Y., formerly of Newburyport and Revere, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
Husband of the late Elizabeth A. (Gilligan). Devoted father of Gloria D'Agostino and her late husband Frank of East Rochester. Cherished grandfather of Albert F. D'Agostino and wife Michele of Mendon, N.Y., Gina Manley and husband James of East Rochester and the late Joseph Lanza. Dear brother of Thomas Verrengia and wife Mary, and Margaret Ferrara, all of Saugus, and John Verrengia and wife Florence of Revere. Also lovingly survived by his son-in-law, Anthony Lanza of Watertown; five great-grandsons, Frank, David, Joseph, Joshua and Ryan D'Agostino; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, April 14 at 11 a.m. in the Full Gospel Community Church, Cooledge Street, Revere, followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visiting hours were in the Vertuccio Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) Revere, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Newburyport Assembly of God, 13 Hale St., Newbruyport, MA 01950.

Joe was a wonderful person. We have many fond memories of him as he was a frequent visitor to our service station on Plum Island over the years. Our deepest sympathy to his family.

I'M SO BLESSED TO HAVE KNOWN SUCH WONDERFULL PEOPLE IN MY CHILDHOOD SUCH AS JOE AND HIS WIFE ELIZABETH , AND MY AUNT JOSIE , AND MY COUSIN JOE LANZA .
