Joseph Vittitow Obituary
Joseph Larry Vittitow, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on July 17, 2025, at the VA Hospital, surrounded by loving family.
He was born on February 22, 1947, to James C. Vittitow and Pauline Ball Vittitow.
Joe attended Bishop David High School and joined the U.S. Army in 1966, where he served as a drill corporal at Fort Knox until his honorable discharge in 1968. He worked as an electrician with Local 369 before opening Cycles Unlimited in Shively, Kentucky, which he proudly operated for more than 40 years and never fully retired.
Joe is survived by his sons, Jason (Cindy) Vittitow and Jeremy Vittitow; his brothers, William P. Vittitow and J. Wayne Vittitow; his sister, M. Layne White (Steven); and his beloved grandchildren, Lily, Layton, Grayson, and Seth Vittitow. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Vittitow.
Funeral service and interment will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (KVCC) in Radcliff, Kentucky, with Deacon Frank Cottrell of the Archdiocese for Military Services, Fort Knox, officiating.
