WALSH Joseph V. Det. Sgt. Brookline Police Dept. (Ret.) in Brookline on June 27, 2010. Beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Doyle) Walsh. Loving father of Kate Walsh and her husband Erik Garpestad of Wellesley, Liz Walsh Nelligan and her husband John Nelligan of Brookline, Joe V. Walsh, Jr. and his wife Kathi of Columbia, MD, Mary Walsh Meidlinger of Washington, DC, and her late husband Leo J. Meidlinger, and Caroline Walsh Hughes of Foxboro. Devoted grandfather of Maria and Claire Garpestad, Catherine Hughes, and Leo Walsh Meidlinger. Dear brother of the late Mary Duffy, Rose McNamara, Alice Kern, and John and Laurence Walsh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Bell-O’Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., BROOKLINE, on Wednesday morning at 9:10 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline, at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00-8:00. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
