Remembering my brother today. He would have been 73. 7/27/25

I always enjoyed very much our meetings at the Loesser office, Joseph, most of them with dear Jo. Thank you for your kindness and your intelligent advocacy of the work of Frank Loesser. He would have been grateful and proud, I´m sure. Rest in peace, Joseph.

Joseph and I initially connected through his work with the Styne catalogue and then on the Loesser catalogue. And I worked with him on many, many different projects over the years. I will miss him a great deal and am sending all clear and strong energy to his family. Sincerely, Mark Merriman

Joseph was a dear friend to his MPL colleagues during his many years at MPL and later on working side by side on the great songs of Jules Styne and Frank Loesser. He will be sorely missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My interactions with Joseph were always friendly and pleasant, and he was a great and fierce advocate for the work of The Great Loesser-- Frank, that is. Frank was a lucky writer to have someone help manage that legacy in his stead, and we who encountered him were lucky to know his kindness and enthusiasm. Condolences to his loved ones.

I never met Joseph, but our mutual love of the great music of the theatre brought us together on Facebook. We had some business dealings when I licensed songs for my show Inventing Mary Martin (the Jule Styne Peter Pan songs) and he was a top pro in my eyes. We had the same great taste and cared deeply about musical theatre. Sad that we never had a drink together.

Joseph, it was always a pleasure working with you to promote the work of Frank Loesser and our conversations always brought me new knowledge and inspired me to learn more about the topics we discussed. Somehow, you would always know more than anyone else, and could recall the facts instantly. Rest in peace, my friend. Drew Cohen
