Joe and I went both to high school and Notre Dame together. In fact, i sadly came across this notice when I thought, “I wonder how Joe’s doing these days I should get in touch.” All of which proves that one should never wait to reach out to old friends. I’ll always remember Joe’s sense of humor, the summer we both worked together at the Master Lock company, and his boundless good spirits.

We love the dapper ornament you gave us in his memory, Kim, and we hang it every year in a place of honor on our tree in remembrance of him!

Kim, we have never met, but I was a very good friend of Joe's from ND. I just learned of his death (ND MAG). He is the godfather of my daughter Courtney and, sadly, I lost touch with Joe some time ago. I played football with Joe and will always remember him at practice with his straight ahead kickng technique (the last of his kind I think). We hung out in Chicago for a few years after college and spent many nights out on the town. He visited me in Texas. He was always a character and so fun to be around. I am so sad to hear of his passing.
