I first met Joe at Emerald St. He was dating my husband, Toms sister Mary. Tom called him on the go Joe because he was always busy. I was pregnant with my first child at Mary and Joe's wedding and soon after so was Mary. Our first borns are only 2 months apart. Through the years Joe and I had many interesting conversations about all sorts of things. Family was most important to him. He cherished them all. I will miss you Joe. Love you all.

For many, many years, I spent every Sunday morning from 9-12 at Mary & Joe's. I would be drinking tea with Mary. Our boys played and grew up together. Joe would sometimes join our conversation, play with the boys, or just be there. We share years of Christmas Eve dinners together (with his Christmas Train right beside the table). He was a great thinker and an excellent speaker. The closeness of his family speaks volumes for the kind of Dad he was. No sleeping in just because it's the weekend and no staying in if the weather was nice. My son shares fond memories of his Uncle as well. He was a good male role model for my son. I can hear his laugh as I type this. There are so many memories, it is hard to pick just one. He was just "always there". I love you Uncle Joe. Come back and visit often in our dreams.
