We are very sorry for cousin Josie's passing. We were not aware that she was in a nursing home. We are in Florida and just found out that she passed away. She has a wonderful family. May she rest in peace.

Eddie: I am your mother's younger cousin Josie Shady Zeitlin, living in California since 1964. I baby-sat you once before I left for the west coast. Both she and I and another cousin were named after our grandmother who died of a heart attack in her fifties, when my mother Angie was only ten years old. My mother and Aunt Helen (my favorite aunt) were best friends through the years and miles apart.
I just loved your mother's gentle, guileless spirit and wish we could have spent more time together. I thought that when she married your father, she reminded me of Grace Kelly in her manner and elegance, although Josie was much warmer.
I was going through old family photos in December, not knowing she was ill, and selected a bunch to send to her, which are still waiting on my desk.
If you would like me to send them to you to share with your brothers, please email me at [email protected] and leave your address.
I only wish I had had a chance to say goodbye, but I'm sure that her life was very full with you boys and your children, so I am very soothed by that. fact.
Lovingly,
Josephine Zeitlin

To the Leighton Boys -
Josie was so good to our group of Miniature Golfers. She was the perfect host for all the families and teenagers who came through Taylor's Tiny Town. She always made everyone feel welcome and wanted to make sure everyone had a good time.
Not only that but she cared about everyone
and asked about their families. She was a Jem !!!
I was very sad to hear this news, but take solace that she's in Heaven with Charlie Sr. and she has no worries, pain or sickness. She's young and happy again.
