McCARTHY, Josephine (nee Salesse)
15 June 1926 - 05 January 2014
Peacefully at Carleton Lodge with her husband of 63 years, Alan William (Bill) McCarthy by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose Wheeler and Joseph Salesse, and sister Berenice Adam. Survived by her sister, Jacqueline Sorfleet. Beloved aunt to Judy Dare, Joanne Reichertz, Bruce Dare, Thomas Booth, Timothy Booth and Jonathan Booth. She will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. She worked for 35 years in the Federal government and retired in 1987. In 1997, Josie was awarded Senior Citizen of the year for her many years of service as a dedicated volunteer at Manotick's Miller's Oven. Special thanks to the Carleton Lodge staff for their care and compassion. Friends may pay their respects at the
