Jo was a good neighbor and friend. We would often stand on the sidewalk and just visit. The last conversation concerned the diets were both trying to maintain. A nice person; we'll miss her.

One of my best memories of my aunt Jo was in the early '60s when I was in grade school in Carlisle. Mom had a little birthday party for me and I had a few friends invited. Josie brought a reel projector and showed film of a Mercury space program launch.
It was a big hit and gave my party a cool factor!

She traveled all over the U.S. by herself on incredible road trips and visited many monuments, mountains, and other areas at a time when those places still were somewhat pristine and respected.
