Josh Hensley, 30, of Burlington, died at his home Wednesday, January 26, 2011.
Born August 17, 1980, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Daniel Joe and Michele Rae Box Hensley. On June 27, 2008, he married Brittany Nicole Lindsay in Ft. Madison, IA.
Josh had worked at various restaurants in the area.
He enjoyed playing Xbox 360, singing in bands, and watching football. He was a St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Longhorns fan.
Survivors include his wife, Brittany; three sons, Tristan Lock, Brendan Hensley-Hand, and Jameson Hensley, all at home; one daughter, Katelyn Henning at home; his father, Dan Hensley of Fontana, CA; his mother, Michele Garrett of Burlington; step-father Joel Garrett of Burlington; paternal grandparents, Henry and Barb Hensley of Burlington; maternal grandparents, Ed and Sally Box of Burlington; one brother, Taylor Garrett of Burlington; three sisters, Christie Garrett of Stronghurst, IL, Rachel Garrett of Moline, IL, and Carmel Hensley of Fontana, CA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.
Cremation will be accorded after the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for his children's education.
