I miss you every day. I can't believe you're really not here with me anymore. Every now and then I still dial your number to say goodnight and tell you I love you and stay safe. The whole family misses you. Ashly is taking it pretty hard. We all love you so very much and miss your laugh. I know you will be there waiting for me when i get there. See you then

I met Josh when he worked for my son Dan at Suburban Hardware in So. St. Paul. I remember the day he came into the store in full dress uniform, graduation day from the police academy. Such a smile on his face, so excited and so proud. He was thrilled to be a police office. My sympathies to all of his family - he was an incredible man.

February 22, 2013

God bless Josh and may God comfort his family and friends during this most difficult time. Debra, Stillwater

Dear Tim and family,

I just heard the Lynaugh name on the news, pulled out the K9 card you gave me a few years ago, and relized this was your son. I am truly sorry for your loss. I am disappointed I missed your son's funeral. Your son is now up in heaven with Kristi, you can only imagine the fun they will have.....

Take care of yourself.

Sincerely

Kurt Sadler

To the Lynaugh Family,
Officer Josh, as our students called him, will be missed. He positively impacted our lives with his huge heart. It was always fun watching the youngest kids gather around the 'giant' and the older kids ask him for advice and guidance. He will continue to be a permanent fixture in our hearts. May the Lynaugh family be comforted knowing that Officer Josh was truly loved by kids of all ages.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this difficult time. Josh was wonderful to my family when we dealt with a great loss. We didn't know Josh prior, however he treated us like his own family. I will cherish those memories of him and am appreciative of him during that time. Tim and Family:

My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you. I had only met Josh a few times but his smile says it all; in the words of my grandma "he's got a nice face".

I cannot begin to understand your emotions or loss but I pray that soon you will be able to remember Josh with a smile instead of a tear and know that he is still with you.

My prayers will continue to be with the Lynaugh family during this difficult time. As a teacher at Hmong College Prep Academy where Officer Josh worked part-time last school year, I was able to witness the incredible impact and impression he made upon students K-12th grade. Each time you make a difference in a child's life, you leave a legacy behind, and what a legacy Josh leaves here on Earth.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Lynaugh family. I believe memories are not in how one dies, but in how they lived and the lives they have touched. I know you are proud of how your son lived and the lives he saved. I hope those memories help during your time of healing.

I had the privilege of being in a few classes with Josh during high school. He was the sweetest person and would go out of his way to help people, always with a little sarcasm included. I remember he always wanted to be a police officer! How proud you must be of your son for doing what he loved and serving the people of our great state. It is an honor to have known someone like him!!! My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and co-workers at this time.
