Joshua Caleb Crain

Joshua Caleb Crain, 23, of Grand Saline, Texas, passed away after a courageous battle with a rare brain tumor. Joshua faced significant health challenges beginning at age 14 and met each one with remarkable strength, faith, and perseverance. He was a cherished patient at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, where he was known as a true warrior.

Joshua was a 2022 graduate of Van High School and enjoyed photography and theatre. He had a natural gift for making others feel welcome, often leaving behind more friends than strangers. In a final act of selfless generosity, Joshua provided tissue samples to aid doctors in researching rare brain tumors, offering hope and answers for future children facing similar diagnoses.

Joshua was the firstborn child of promise through adoption to Brad and Heather Crain. He is survived by his sisters, Gracie Crain Ruiz and her husband Damian of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Danielle Crain of McKinney, Texas.

Joshua leaves behind a legacy of strong faith in Jesus Christ, a joyful sense of humor, and a servant's heart. Though deeply missed, his family does not grieve without hope, trusting in the promise that they will see him again.
