Joshua Farrar Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 27, 2004.
Joshua was born on March 13 1982 in Portland Oregon, he was killed in a motorcycle accident on March 11 2004. He attended Creston elementary, Kellogg middle, and Franklin high school.
Josh was very popular and outgoing from day one, he was never shy. When he was 5 he became an older brother to Steven, a role he took pride in he loved is little brother. He grew up with his cousin's Eric and Daryl Wilsie, he idealized Eric and when he was real young said he wanted to be just like Eric.
Josh related well to people of all ages, the young and the old he was everyone's friend. He stuck up for everyone regardless of thier popularity and hated bullies picking on the less popular. He always tried hard to help people, strangers and friends it didn't matter if he could help he would.
When he was 14 he wanted to fly so he started flight lessons at Troutdale airport, he loved it, especially flying over Mt St Helens. His goal at that time was to join the airforce and fly, but he later learned that because of ear problems the airforce wouldn't be able to allow him to.
Growing up his best friend was Troy Barnard they were inseperable. When he was 15 he met Brian Harper and they became like brothers.
He spent summers camping with friends and his brother, fishing with his Dad, hanging out with friends, and shopping with his mom and Grandma. He never wanted to miss the trip to costco or meier and frank. In the winter he was on Mt Hood snowboarding as often as he could get there.
When he was 17 he met Desiree. In dec 2003 they had a falling out and began dating others but he loved her still.
Josh was full of life and love, he had a big heart, he was very funny, loved to have fun and make people laugh, and he was full of ambition, a natural born salesman I always said he could sale ice to an eskimo. His dream was to become a mortgage broker and real estate agent, he said he was going to be the best this world ever seen and that I would see him in Forbes. He was just beginning to accomplish his dreams and had just become a loan officer with America one financial.
He loved music, all kinds of music, he said it wasn't the music that mattered but the story in the song. He liked adventure films and comedy. He liked lighthouses because he said they stood proud and strong, always guided you and gave you light. He hated horror films, ranch dressing, and dirty shoes.
Joshua was met at the gates of heaven by his cousin Eric Wilsie who was also killed on a motorcycle Aug 29 2001 at age 25.
Josh our hearts will never be whole again, you will remain in our hearts and souls, be free and happy, have fun with Eric and try not to give God to hard of time keeping you off the angels :) we love you so much punky this world was better with you in it. Bless you.

Josh is missed by his parents Bill and Sharon Farrar, Brothers Bryan and Steven Farrar, brother by choice Brian Harper, Grandparents Terry and Bonnie Muehlhauser, Grandparents Carl and Emily Farrar, many aunts and uncles, cousins Daryl wilsie, Raynee Wilsie (Eric's daughter), Megan English, Robert Farrar, and many many friends. Just thinking of you and Stevie. Man you and Troy could get Steve B. mad when playing poker camping....Finally your little brother had the honor of joining us on a trip to LaPine too. Those trips were fun and fill with lots of laughter. It was truly a please having you in our lives. You just had to teach our son how to dress properly too. Thank you for babysitting, helping in the yard and my sister's hard. After you passing, I was out in the yard working, and I was just thinking how I could sure use you to dig some planting holes. No more than I was thinking this, a butterfly came and stayed by me. I knew you were there cheering me on in getting the hole dug. Those knees were on there last uses. Could you pester that boy of mine for me? He needs some whispering in his ear...I know, I need some too. I believe you were there for Stevie when he joined you in Heaven. Thank you both for being neighbors and friends. I love your both.
