I just found out about this book. Hearing of your passing was a shock. I remember growing up close to you and your family. I haven't been in touch much since highschool but I know you did well with a life that ended too soon. Your friend Jarod.

i wrote this for you a long time ago baby...you thought i lost it but here it is! at least the PG parts of it, i'm reasonably sure this book is moderated :) close your eyes and remember how much i love you...it's only temporary, this life of ours. i'll wrap my fingers around yours again someday handsome, for now just rest in peace.
The only thing different that day was that we made plans...
I knew you
Parts of you
Enough to collapse a piece of the wall on a Friday night
And run my mouth long enough for you to wonder why I hadn’t left yet
And why the sun was rising and we were still telling stories
Enough for you to realize that you weren’t alone on the earth
And maybe I wasn’t damaged goods
I wanted more of you baby
And you quietly obliged
Unbeknownst to me I had started over
It seemed like a good idea at the time
And it felt so good
Why wouldn’t I keep going
I can’t ever sleep knowing you’re awake near me
I never want to miss a millisecond of consciousness with you
Even if we’re just breathing
Barely aware of one another’s lungs heaving
I kiss the sweat off your brow
And grin mischieviously into the candle-lit semi-darkness
Because you look beautiful bathed in shadows.

Dear Patty and Terry, We were shocked and deeply saddened to read about Joshua. It seems like yesterday that we were in the hospital together when our boys were born. You and your family are all in our prayers.

I remember holding you in my arms when you were an infant. I remember you as a child and I know what you accomplished as a young man in too short a time. Now the dear Lord is holding you in his arms. May you rest in peace.

I remember you, young, laughing, and so full of life, laughter, and mischief. You are in my memory as this child.
May peace and solice be found by the family knowing he is in a safe and loving place.
