Joshua Pellerin Obituary
He was born October 17, 1995, in Rutland.
Joshua graduated second in his class from Mount St. Joseph Academy in 2013, where he participated in Boys State and was a member of the football team, track team and was manager of the basketball team. He was a member of the National Honor Society and had high honors throughout all of his schooling. He was currently a freshman at the College of the Holy Cross. While in school he enjoyed doing community service and several extracurricular activities.
During his year off from schooling, he was employed as a paraeducator at the Shrewsbury Mountain School. He also worked four summers at Camp Maple Leaf.
He enjoyed being outdoors, antiques, Latin and French, playing tennis, swimming, music, traveling, animals (especially his Boston terrier, "Muggsy"), collecting and reading classic novels, researching real estate and spending time with family and friends. His goal was always to own "the farm house and the lake house."
Joshua loved politics and was socially liberal and fiscally conservative.
He was always a sharp dresser and amused us all with his enthusiasm, quick imagination and strategic mind. He will always be remembered for his compassion for others and his kind heart.
Survivors include his parents Roger and Kelly Pellerin-Loomis of Clarendon; a brother, Brendan Pellerin of West Wareham, MA; a sister, Kiera Loomis of Clarendon; grandmother, Mary Frances Pellerin of Arlington; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, John F. Pellerin Sr.; great-grandfather, Donald F. McCormick; and a cousin, Tristan Quinn.
Friends may call on Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main St., Rutland, VT. There will be no public memorial service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rutland County Humane Society Inc., 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.

We have a freshman son at Holy Cross and our whole family was deeply saddened to hear of Joshua's passing. Please know that Joshua and your family are in our prayers.
We also have enrolled Joshua in the Mass Association of the Capuchin Franciscan Friars of the Providence of the Sacred Stigmata. Joshua will be remembered in each of the works of mercy and daily prayers by the Friars.

Many years ago, Josh was in 3rd grade with our son, Zach. He helped Zach celebrate a Birthday by going to the great escape. He was the sweetest boy and so respectful. I knew way back then, this young boy would turn into an amazing man. Then I saw this man over the last 2 previous school years as he was a part of my childrens education. He volunteered to help with The girls on the run training. I feel blessed that he was a part of my childrens lives. I would on occasion substitute at SMS and he would always help me know what to do. He was a wonderful person. Your family will be in our prayers!!!

The Camp Maple Leaf staff and many, many campers are absolutely heartbroken.
When we were looking for a new staff member 4 years ago, Hudson didn't hesitate to recommend his friend, Josh Pellerin.
