Joshua "Josh" Michael Schweitzer, 25, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018. He was born in Erie, on January 25, 1993.

Josh successfully graduated high school. He was a jack of all trades, a hard worker, and was eager to learn new things. He was employed at Erie Coke Corporation. He was always ready to lend a hand. Josh was an avid hunter, loved fishing, and being outdoors. He was also a die hard Chicago Bears fan, smart and witty, and loved making people laugh. Josh was a loving son, amazing brother and best friend and an uncle to his nieces. He was a friend to many and loved by all who knew him. Josh was truly an irreplaceable human being.

Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather James Hawley.

He is lovingly survived by his father Dan Schweitzer, mother Cheryl Hawley and her partner Don Bayhurst, his sister Lindsey Schweitzer, nieces Kylee Rose and Kaelyn Hope, grandparents Grammy Hawley and Jean and Tom Schweitzer, aunts, uncles, many cousins and his longtime girlfriend Erin Ewing.

A memorial, followed by a celebration of life gathering, will be held at a future date. The funeral arrangements are private and entrusted by the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503. Memorial contributions may be designated to the family through https://www.gofundme.com/xqk474-funeral-expenses-for-Josh. This hurts putting to words how much josh meant to this world. He was like a brother to those he crossed on a daily basis. He admitted his struggles and rewarded his strength. He helped when needed without a second thought. I wish nothing but strength and healing prayers during this rough road as you learn to live without a piece of you . Know he's still being that crazy goof ball watching over his niece's.and family
