Joshua Trosper Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 18, 2021.
Joshua "Jay" Dylan Trosper, 28, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at his home. Born in New London on August 21, 1992, son of Marissa Beaulieu of West Simsbury and Anthony Trosper of Lincoln, NE, he was raised in Connecticut, moved to Nebraska for short time as a teenager, and had lived in Canton for the last four years. After high school, Jay attended technical school where he trained as an automotive mechanic. He was well-known as a skilled mechanic but also as a lumberjack and problem-solver. He loved working around his home and helping others take on challenging projects at work and at home. Most of all, Jay will be remembered as a devoted father and family man. He had a special love for nature and the woods and enjoyed spending time with family and friends in the great outdoors. He loved taking care of his goats and dogs, fishing, off-roading, and recreational shooting. He was well-known for his laid-back personality, his witty sense of humor, and his willingness to help anyone he came into contact with. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Besides his loving parents, he leaves his fiancé whom he loved with all his heart, Katrina Cook of Canton; his children whom he adored, Aubrielle Rose Trosper and Julian Trosper; his paternal grandmother, Sheila Fleming; his maternal grandfather, Wilson Beaulieu; his half siblings, Jaden Trosper and Jasmine Trosper; aunts and uncles, Christine Beaulieu, Kelly Beaulieu, Stephanee Beaulieu, Maria Hartley, Zach Trosper, Joe Trosper, Michael Beaulieu, Chris Beaulieu, Jeremy Beaulieu, Alvin Moody, and Gary Beaulieu; a great-aunt, Gladys Dina Echeverria; and cousins, Mary Palenza, Crystal Lezott, Isaiah Beaulieu, Alvin Moody, Jr., Jessiah Moody, Alivia Moody, Sadie Beaulieu, Sarah Raposo, Kelly Beaulieu, and Casey Beaulieu. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Rosa Echeverria; his great-grandfather, Wilson "Bepa" Beaulieu; an uncle, Steven Beaulieu; an aunt, Keri Beaulieu; and a cousin, Sara Palenza. His family will receive friends on Sunday, August 1, 1-2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., in the chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor.
