Jouette Lamoreaux Leavitt Larson 1932 ~ 2007 Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Jouette Lamoreaux Leavitt Larson, passed away September 9, 2007 surrounded by her family and loved ones.Jouette was born in St. George, Utah October 9, 1932 to David Barnum and LaRee Milne Lamoreaux. She married Bruce Leavitt in the St. George Temple and was later divorced. She married Stanford C. Larson in the Jordan River Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church all of her life. She served two missions, Sandy Bishop's Storehouse for two years, and four years to her death at the Utah State Prison. She was secretary for the Washington County Search and Rescue and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She had a zest for life and for everyone she met. She was loved by all who knew her. She loved the outdoors with all her heart, fishing, hunting, camping, rock and artifact hunting. She is survived by her husband, Stanford; brothers, David (Mary Jane) Lamoreaux, Sandy, Utah, and Scott (Venice) Lamoreaux, Westover, Alabama; four children, Dennis (Pam) Leavitt, Phelan, California, Kathleen Leavitt, Las Vegas, Nevada; Lori (Kevin) Gentry, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Joseph (Nancy) Leavitt, Santa Ana, California. With both marriages, Jouette has 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchil-dren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Eastmont LDS chapel, 1280 East Turquoise Way, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Midvale, Utah, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. or Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. There will be a viewing at Metcalf Mortuary in St. George, Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be immediately following in the Washington City Cemetery.

I was so sorry to hear of Jouette's passing. I remember when you all lived in St. George and many fun Christmas and Thanks Giving times at Grandma Milne's house with all of the cousins. Jouette has a great smile and laugh!
