Joy Renee Angel

Joy Renee Angel, aged 63, of Petaluma, California, passed away on March 8, 2024, in Richmond, CA. She was born on October 22, 1960, and was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Joy was known for her amazing kindness, loyalty, and dependability. She touched the lives of many with her warm heart and willingness to always be there for others.

Joy had a successful career as a Safeway Retail Manager in the Floral department. She excelled in her profession and was highly regarded by colleagues and customers alike. Outside of work, Joy found joy in her hobbies of flowers, spending time with friends, and exploring the world through travel.

She graduated from Casa Grande High School of Petaluma and continued her education at the prestigious institution of Hard Knocks, where she graduated at the top of her class.

Joy will be deeply missed by her son, Steven Odell; fathers, Pete Angel and Joe Fresquez; brother, Jeff Angel; as well as numerous uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mothers, Carol Fresquez and Margaret Angel, and her brother, Jerry Angel.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Joy will be held on April 13, 2024, at 2pm at Vallejo Moose Lodge, 337 Nebraska St. in Vallejo, CA. It will be a time to remember and cherish the life of a remarkable woman who brought light and love to all who knew her. Joy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
