Wallace Lyndon "Wally" Steinhoff

Steinhoff, Wallace "Wally" Lyndon Wallace "Wally" Lyndon Steinhoff, 95, beloved husband and best friend of Marthena (Milner) Steinhoff for 72 years, passed away peacefully in his Ramona, CA home on April 16, 2013. Wally enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and working in his avocado orchard. As a member of the "Greatest Generation" he served our country during WWII on the island of Tarawa. He was extremely intelligent, well versed in current events, knew how to fix just about everything, and had a keen sense of humor. Wally is survived by his loving wife, Marthena; his daughter, Ruth; his grandchildren, Coleen, Lisa and Stephanie; his great-grandchildren, Bryce, Stefany, Jennifer, Ryan, Bree, Brennan, Blake, and Brian; as well as two great-great- grandchildren; Jane and Joshua. He was predeceased by his son, Wally Richard in 2011 and his grandson, Paul Lyndon McDowell in 1994. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.
