Hey Joy, A year has passed since my last message. I hope you see this message somehow. I have a very adorable kiddo, and I´m going to do my best to teach her all that I can. I hope you can help me protect her when I´m not around. GOD bless you Joy.

I had the honor and privilege of MS Keachie as an assistant teacher, she visited me at my parents house, she taught me a valuable life lesson of which I still reflect on after all these years. She shared with me her struggles without going into detail and helped me understand the importance of keeping my heart & mind balanced. And how important and life saving it can be. GOD Bless you MS Keachie! You´re not forgotten. I am now 42 years old. You will always be in my heart . D.C. (Student of EPHS)

Joy was a true friend who would take the time to listen to your concerns. The times when I left a message for her I would say "JOY TO THE WORLD" you must be busy helping someone who needs your positive energy so when you have the time call me back. As those who knew her, we were blessed even if it was meeting her for a brief time. She always brighten up my day when she would just call out of the blue. She never forgot and she tried when she could to help her friends. Joy was certainly a peace maker and wanted people to believe in themselves and look deep inside for the possitive aspects we all have. She encouraged all that she knew to never give up and smile or as she would say to me "don't worry, be happy". I miss you Joy, for now you are on the most important journey and your spirit will live on. I hope to connect with you again when it is my time.

Love Always My Dear Friend,

I am a friend and business acquaintance. I visited with Joy almost every day, and miss her beyond words. Her office is next to mine in West Duluth. I'm a massage therapist, and we would share information about healing, sometimes for hours. She is the most generous and giving person I have ever met. There is an emptiness that overcomes me every day I go to my office which I try to fill with her spirit. I cherish her friendship and will do my best to live through her giving spirit. I read this little poem the other day,

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possible not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."

Joy opened up a whole new world to me and I feel blessed to have absorbed her knowledge and her essence of life. With love always,

Dear Keachie Family,

I had the fortunate opportunity to first meet Joy as she taught my son at CMS and EPH. I later was fortunate to know Joy as my friend. Her compassion and enthusiasm was endless as was her desire to make all her students independant and successful in their own way. When I think of self-esteem builders I think "Joy Keachie"! How wonderful it must have been to have her as family. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed by many.

Sincerely,

Sue Levi

Joy,

my dear sweet friend,

you have followed me everywhere, and your such a kind soul, man heaven must of needed another angel, because that is what you are too me. I was 'shocked" to see that you had passed, my first thought was "not my friend Joy-Keachie" I still cannot believe that you are not here. You took care of your mom for so long and fianlly started to take care of you, it just seems so unfair!

You helped me deal with stress and pregnancy with your Knessiology" and man I will miss that and your counting, and your giggles, and sweet voice!

I hope that all of your family knows that you were loved my friend. I have known you for about 10 years now, and I will miss you terribly. may god keep you close, because you are truely a "ANGEL"

All my love and thoughts,

Joy has been in my sister Angie's life for quite a long time, she also was a great teacher that reached many students in Duluth. I heard of her greatness from far away and from the sounds of it she has been in so many other hearts through out the years. I met her about 4 years ago and instantly was amazed in her charismic personality and caring heart. She touched the lives of many and was one of those people who could change the course of someones day with just her smile. I use her knowledge of connections in my classroom today with all of my students. I guess it is fare to say that her greatness did move mountains and reached from coast to coast. My thoughts are with her family and friends always!

Joy is such an amazing person!!! She is the most giving, generous person I have ever met. Her AK/Stress Management work amazed me, sometimes she lost me, especially after a 3 hour marathon talking session, but I loved to talk to her. I still am working to perfect some of the AK things she has taught me, but I know with her continued guidance I will get it. We are all blessed to have her watching over us and sending her kinnections out to us.....only if we will accept them that is!!!!

Joy took her name literally. She was happiest when she was bringing "joy" into the lives of other people. Joy's energy and love for other people were boundless. Joy, we hope that you know that we loved you in so many ways and will never forget you. We will remember you for the time that you spent with each member of, and our entire, family. You were like a sister to Heidi and me and "Auntie Joy" to our children. Because you were not judgmental, you were a confidante to every member of our family. Your calm and gentle manner was like a "bridge over troubled waters." We will remember that you were always focused on telling us to "keep our eye on the ball." Even when we felt negative energy, you were able to help us find a way to turn it into positive energy. With your passing, we feel boundless sorrow, the opposite of the "joy" that you brought into our lives. Your absence has left a large hole in our hearts and lives. We can only handle the pain because of the lessons that you taught us. You gave us lifetime lessons and we will honor your memory by living, each day, the lessons that you taught us. While your time on life was short, the effect that you had on our lives, as well, as we are sure, countless others, was boundless. You were a life force to so many people who needed a bright, vibrant person like you in their life. Thank you for bringing, and being, "Joy."

Joy taught at Eden Prairie High School early in her career and started some wonderful innovative programs to support special needs kids that are still in place here. I was a former speech therapist so we shared some stories and experiences. I was very saddened to hear of her untimely death. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Joy had been the legs that carried our A.D team to where we were. She lite up several disappointed faces (when we didn't do as well as we wished) as well as any room that she entered. She believed in every single person and the gifts that they had. She will be missed, but not forgotten! Joy your in my heart for always!!

Well, what can I say about Joy? She has been a major part of my life, and has forever changed it. Joy was one of my teachers at the Prcotor Essential Learning School, and she taught me important lessons not only for school, but in life. When I was going through some tough times, she was right there by my side, helping me every step of the way. Joy touched so many lives, and I know that none of us will ever forget her...

I met Joy when I started to take classes in special education at UMD. Over the past few years we became friends and she educated me about her stress management program. We had such a good conversation the last time we met this summer (a 3 hour lunch at Perkins! - Joy did so like to talk!). I will miss her vivacity and her friendship. My thoughts are with you.

I have only known Joy for a few years. I met her when she was working for Proctor Schools, and we became friends. There was never a time when I was in need of help that joy was never there. She would say " You know my phone and cell phone numbers, call anytime you need me, If I am sleeping, wake me, because I have no problem falling back too sleep". She has giving help to all my Grandchildren, and I know that she will be with us forever.I could go on and on about Joy, but she knows how I feel, and will always be with me day and night. Judy
