Joy Ann McIntyre

Joy Ann McIntyre, 89, of Colbert, Georgia passed away on November 18, 2023. She was born on March 21, 1934, in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late Minnie and Edwin Wooten. Joy was a loving, caring, and giving person. She was always doing for others and happy to help anyone in need. She cared greatly for her family.

Joy is survived by her beloved husband, Phil McIntyre, and her children: Steven McIntyre (Shirley), Gwen Crowe (Brian), Shannon Spisak (Mark), and Brandi Flanagan. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Kennedy, Judy Southerland, and Linda Taylor. Joy leaves behind a legacy of love through her 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her siblings, Peggy, Sue, Robert, Benny, and her daughter, Cindy.

Joy had a strong faith and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She found comfort and solace in her religious community.

Outside of her devotion to her family and faith, Joy had a passion for crocheting, gardening, and cooking. These hobbies brought her joy and allowed her to express her creativity.

A memorial service to celebrate Joy's life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1156 Willie Black Rd, Elberton, GA 30635 on December 2nd, 2023, at 2:00 pm.

Joy Ann McIntyre will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her loving nature and selflessness will forever be remembered. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
