2/21/12 Aunt Joyce
To the greatest Aunt ever....In the morning of your passing as I awoke I was thinking of you, at your home, in your bed and in my head I was sitting right next to you and all of the memories came flooding into my heart as I shared them with you. So many years of growing up visiting on 60th Street. All of the holidays you cooked mouthwatering dishes and I can't forget all of your family dinners you let me partake in. You always treated me just as if I was one of yours. Running around the yard or hanging in the basement. You were kind and loving but would not hesitate to bark at me either; never did I mind because there always was a smile that followed your words. All of the gifts we exchanged throughout the years. I've cherished yours through the years and now they will be reminders of sweet memories. I wanted you to know that I will for sure and for certain miss shampooing your hair. How much enjoyment you got from relaxing and then your nap after Aunt Lora wrapped your hair in rollers. You walked out of there looking beautiful and well rested…. No matter where you moved you always welcomed all to your homes with open arms and fun. You will be missed more than you know but as I read at - http://www.buzzle.com/articles/words-of-condolence-sympathy-messages-and-sayings.html
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best..
And this one I love for you because it is and will always be true….
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. Leo Buscaglia
All my love to you and all my thoughts of sympathy to my cousins may all of you believe in the reasons you had to leave us so soon…My deepest sympathy….
Dan,
Aunt Joyce was blessed knowing you as was I. You will always be remembered fondly. Thank you for caring for my Aunt and being such a kind giving person. My condolences

Now it's our turn to pick up the pieces for our children.
If I am Half the parent my mother was, I will have the strength to put it all back together.

As I grew older, I grew bigger.
And the pieces got bigger too.
But, no matter how big, Mom was still there to pick up the pieces and put it all back together.
She may be a small woman, but she is the strongest person I have ever met.
She is, and always will be, the Rock, the Foundation, the Backbone of the Griffin Family.

If anything bad ever happened, Mom was always there to pick up the pieces.
Dads answer was always the same "if it ain't broke or bleeding, walk it off".
But mom was there to make it alright, There was nothing Mom couldn't handle.

One day I fell off my bike and gashed my calf.
I should have had stitches, but mom took care of it with peroxide and a band-aid.
Peroxide made everything better.
Mom made everything feel better.

I have since learned where I came from.
I believe God took the Soul of a Saint and the Heart of an Angel and joined them.
Anybody that knew Charles Griffin knows he was a Saint
and Joyce Griffin was nothing short of an Angel.
She is God's Gift to the Griffin Family.

When I was a young child, I was very curious.
I asked about everything.
Why the sky was blue, why my brother was taller than the whole family, why my sister was the only one with blonde hair.
One day I asked Joyce "Mom, where do I come from?"
she responded with her default answer "a bird pooped you on a fence, the sun warmed you up and you hatched".
A "Mother-In-Law" is no less of a Mother. I will miss you Mom.

Cindy,Chuck, Curtis and the fam, Joyce is forever your guardian angels. Mom will never leave you...she was your rock and always will be right at your side giving you all support and great love. I learned something this past 34 weeks; when you love someone so deeply and they pass on, that love never dies. What a great blessing for us. Gods Speed and his blessings to you.
