I always looked forward to seeing Joyce at an artfair - what hat did she make for me this time? Let me tell you, she made some GOOD ones. Memory of Joyce will be with me every single time I choose the hat of the day. Condolences to Joyce's family, everyone knows how deep her love for her family ran.

Joyce will be missed...I worked with her for eight years and found her to be a very warm and friendly person. She would often stop by my office to chat and was fun to listen too.

Joyce has been a joy and an inspiration to me over many years.We were roomates at a couple of conferences and shared wonderful fiber events.I loved her dearly and we will all miss her talents and contributions.

Dear Dennis and Joyce's family- It is so sad to return to Lexington and have the news of Joyce's passing come to me via email. Joyce will be remembered as a jovial, fun-loving lady with a great talent for the fiber arts. The felt hat I bought from her will always remind me of her generosity and creativity. I had the pleasure of working with Joyce for 13 years and she became not only a colleague, but a true friend. She had some extraordinary skills and we had hundreds of conversations. Joyce COULD TALK! She got most animated when she spoke of her family. She was so proud of each member of her family and her love was deep and genuine. I was glad that I could attend the graveside service and say my personal farewell to a wonderful woman.

i have such sweet memories of our childhood together.....joyce was my very best friend and we just recently reconnected after 52 years....it was such a treat and very special to me...it was like no time had passed between us...she shared the love and joy she had from her family...was so happy they were in loving relationships and she adored her 3 granddaughters...my deepest condolences to you all. i am so sad t losing such a special friend but know she is in G-d's loving hands now....Peace and blessings on your journey Joyce and may sweet memories sustain the rest of you....she is at peace now. i will miss you my friend.....love all-ways, dail

Joyce (and Dennis) are my good friends at art fairs. Joyce was one of the most generous and helpful people i have known, as well as a fabulous artist. She would not hesitate to lend a hand and give help of any kind to someone who needed it. She will be missed by all the KY artists of which she was a big part.
