Joyce Maynard Hoffman Frederick Obituary
Born to Fred and Bernice (Morris) Maynard on Sept. 16, 1949, in Olean, N.Y.
Later in life she became an ordained minister so she could share the second love of her life, faith in God. She lived for her family, which she thought was her greatest accomplishment.
Joyce is survived by her children, Freda (Alejandro) Hoffman Llerena, Steven Maynard, Harriett Frederick and Jeannette (Paul Watts, deceased) Hoffman; and her sister, Shirley (Jim) Maynard Lewis; her grandchildren, Ashley Maynard, Stephanie Maynard, Craig Maynard, Nathan Watts, Abraham Llerena and Guadeloupe Llerena; her great-grandchildren; and extended family that includes biological and adopted loved ones.
Joyce was predeceased by her second husband, Harold Clyde Frederick Jr., who took her on adventures; and her son, Frankie Hoffman.
A private family service was held in York. A memorial and celebration of her life will be held in the spring in Olean.

Love you so much Momma Joyce. You gave us all so much and was such a big part of who we are. You taught us we are all beautiful as the persons we chose to e. And it was ok to be yourself. You truly were an amazing momma and strong woman and dedicated wife. Love and will miss you greatly.
