Joyce Helen Olita

Joyce Olita passed peacefully on to Heaven, at her home, on the evening of August 8th, 2024. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she made a positive impression on everyone she met. She was creatively talented, loving and empathetic to everyone's needs around her. Her creative passions were used in making everyone in her family at least one handmade personal quilt. Even after her diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia, she hand-sewed her last quilt in the hospital. She loved to decorate her home and make crafts with friends and family. She was a caregiver to everyone she loved. She was a loving Christian role model of the highest standard, to her daughters and grandsons. She is survived by her loving husband Michael Olita, her daughters Joi Watson and Melinda Barham (Brandon). She was "Maw Maw" to three grandsons, Jordan Wyatte, Dawson Turner and Ethan Turner. Joyce was the eldest of 5 children, leaving behind her siblings Bonnie Thompson, Kathy Gallupe (Craig), Rodney Klutts (Ellen) and Don Klutts (LeeAnne). Joyce was preceded in death by her parents James Klutts and Joan Klutts.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on August 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Lucy Baptist Church, 4005 Lucy Rd., Millington, TN 38053. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
