Joyce Paul Obituary
Joyce graduated from Fox Tech High School before earning an associate degree from Tarrant County Junior College. She embarked on a dedicated career in public service, beginning her professional journey working for Federal Judge James Baskin. She later contributed her skills to the Map Services at Fort Sam Houston before transitioning to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Fort Worth, Texas.
Joyce was known for her generous spirit and sharp sense of humor. An excellent storyteller, she had a gift for bringing laughter and warmth to those around her. Earlier in life, she and her husband John enjoyed playing cards with family and shared a love of travel, creating cherished memories along the way.
She is survived by her brothers and their wives, Lou and Rachel Georges and Al and Sheryl Georges; stepchildren Kelli Lynn Paul and Robert David York; grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John Edward Paul; parents Alfonzo A. Georges and Josephine Martinez Georges, as well as her brother Robert Georges.
A funeral service will be held on February 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Commitment Shelter #1, located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209. Following the service, a Celebration of Life luncheon will take place from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Journey To The Cross Fellowship Hall, 1110 Chicago Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78210. Joyce's kindness and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
